The Underhill Challenge Cup 2009
FCBFCSA are aiming to defend their Underhill Trophy against Barnet FC, at Underhill this Sunday. The match is the showpiece game of the Underhill Challenge Cup, with Ravenscroft School teachers invited to participate for the sterling work they have done on prozone. It all falls into place now the covert camerawork spotted at Twickenham, and Bushey may well have been data capture for some analysis of James Taylor's defensive prowess, and Craig Clayton's audacity.
The official match programme will be available for download soon. Print problems dictate that i will not be able to run any off before the match. We are just awaiting some notes, and squad details from canny Barnet FC manager Rob 'Buster' Robertson, but may post a draft first.
After the game, this season's sportsman and player the year awards will be awarded.

Kit Sponsorship
FCBFCSA rely upon the generosity of Barnet FC for the loan of kit. The team is seeking sponsorship to buy a kit of their own.

Tipping Competition
The tipping competition raised a very small amount for the club kitty. It will just about pay for a jockstrap for Tank for next season.
Winner Mike Simpson,
Runner Up Gradleigh Ruderham
Third Place Ros Poulson
Hopefully, there will be more interest in 2010 !
Player of the year
Joel Ramos became the second FCBFCSA player of the year. The youngest member of the squad, Joel is a consistent performer who excites every time he is in possession. Equally adept on the wing or at centre forward, he is one for the present, and one for the future. Narrowly beating off competition from Gerry Currell he is a worthy winner of the award.

Thomas Donald Salinger was awarded the FCBFCSA sportsman award for 2007-2008 in honour of his sterling work behind the scenes. Tom doesn't always get a game, but always turns up, and is always willing to help. Thomas is highly regarded by his team-mates and can be counted upon to raise a laugh in the most tense situations, intentionally or not.

Barnet Staff 0
FCBFCSA 7
FCBFCSA finally fulfilled a dream, and played at Underhill beating Rob Robertson's staff side 7-0. Gerry Currell lifted the inaugural Underhill Challenge Trophy, presented by Giuliano Grazioli.
Goals were scored by Tony Fenton (2), Joel Ramos, Fabio Moruzzi (2), Ake Lindberg, and an own goal from Andy Taylor. A full match report, will be published to co-incide with the dvd launch of the game, during the close season.
This has been delayed by an unforeseen complication in the production process, with regards to sound quality.
Next summer, the trophy may be defended against Eddie Stein's Barnet Legends.

Grazioli To Sign ?
Rumours persist that Barnet legend Giuliano Grazioli will one day don an FCBFCSA shirt. In the Stockport programme he responded to a question from Robin Goldman hoping to see him link up with Silvio Gradoni, his brother in law.
I couldn't play with my brother-in-law, he talks too much football to me ! No I'm only joking. You never know, one day I might well end up playing for the supporters' team because i am a Barnet fan myself, and i could be back here in the future. I know Silvio enjoys it very much on a Saturday morning and there's a good bunch of lads who play there. So you never know.... but if its not me playing then my little boy might be turning out in a few years - who knows !
Wherever Graz ends up , we wish him all the best for the future. An Underhill legend.
FCBFSA meet Legends

Representatives of FCBFCSA met Barnet Legends at An Evening With Barry Fry on Saturday November 24th. After Robin Goldman was presented with a canvas of that goal, the team enjoyed speeches by Denis Signy, and Barry Fry at the Underhill Centenary. Paul Fairclough expressed a desire to play in future matches.

Discussed at the evening was a potential game v Barnet Staff at the end of the season. This will take place after the Wembley play off final.

FCBFCSA star at Wembley Stadium
FCBFCSA strikers Tony Fenton and Keith Doe, were warmly received when they appeared on the big screens at Wembley Stadium at half time during the England v Brazil game. Rumours persist that Fenton is on the verge of a call up to the squad, as England forwards have struggled to hit the back of the net recently.
